Viral Photo Shows Stranger Holding A Mom’s Baby While She Does Paperwork

The internet has undoubtedly changed the world we live in, and it can often be a rather grim place, especially when it comes to stealing someone’s privacy or making a person the object of public shaming. However, there are some images that appear on the World Wide Web that melt our hearts and go viral for all the right reasons.

A picture showing a simple act of kindness has touched more than a million hearts around the world. Natasha Wilson of Florence, Alabama, captured a special moment that shows a stranger holding a woman’s baby so that she can get her paperwork done at a doctor’s office.

Natasha was in the waiting room when she saw a mother walk into the doctor’s bearing a sleeping baby. The receptionist handed her a lot of paperwork which she needed to fill out, leaving the woman in an unfortunate situation.

The mom needed to sign it, but she couldn’t risk letting go of her child. A kind older man then reached out and held her baby for her.

Natasha wrote:

“This man, from across the room, asks her if she would like for him to hold her baby while she did her paperwork!! She smiled and said that would be wonderful!!”

“This man went over there and rocked and loved on that baby like he was his!! My heart Melted!!! Racism is still VERY real in our society today BUT THIS MAN GAVE ME HOPE & a sweet memory I’ll never forget!! If you know this man tell him what an amazing person he is!!”

The picture has since received 1.3M likes and over 425,000 shares. The photo is seemingly simple but has managed to touch hearts across the world.

As for the sweet elderly man, he got in contact with Natasha and told her over the phone: “That’s just who I am. I’ve never thought about race or color. All the children I know call me Papa Joe”.
